Vineyard

Made with our oldest vines more than 60-90 years, low production 2.500 to 3.000 kg per hectare. Manual harvest. Limestone and stony soils, located between 750 and 850 meters, maximum height of farming in Rioja. Vineyards protected by the "Biosphere Reserve" by UNESCO in 2003.

Elaboration

Traditional, previously selected grapes in the vineyard and table selection, de-stemmed grapes. Controlled temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Aged in French oak barrels for 18-24 months. In bottle, 30 months minimum.

Tasting notes

Intense ruby red colour. Aromas of black fruit and roasted wood nuances that complete the original fruitiness of the grape, with good persistence. In the mouth,well structured in its forms, well-balanced andwith good durability.

Serving

Red meats, roasts and stews; big game and small game, sirloins with foie, very cured fermented cheeses.
